Artificial Macrocycles: (R)evolution of Drug Discovery
MACRO project
Our project (MACRO) is supported by the Hellenic Foundation for Research and Innovation (H.F.R.I.) under the “2nd Call for H.F.R.I. Research Projects to support Post-Doctoral Researchers” (Project Number: 0911).
Design and develop very short chemical pathways towards diverse artificial macrocyclic scaffolds by using a mix-and-match approach between versatile and number generating multicomponent reactions and scaffolding classical reactions. These chemical pathways will allow us to address a very large chemical space.
Investigation of structural features to improve passive membrane permeation of different MC classes using matched molecular pair analysis and build predictive models for passive penetration.
Testing the applicability of MC libraries by screening of large macrocyclic MCR libraries against selected protein targets.
