BioCan main objectives

01.
    Perform new state-of-the-art observations of bioaerosols, proxy species and of P speciation, together with detailed aerosol composition and auxiliary meteorological and chemical data.

Perform advanced statistical data analysis in order to identify potential sources of airborne P and quantify the P associated with bioaerosols, including its size segregation and bioavailability.

03.
    Further develop and apply novel chemistry-transport modeling of atmospheric deposition of P, including that of bioaerosols P -carriers in order to evaluate the contribution of this source of P to the total atmospheric deposition.

04.

Synthesize the findings of the project with existing knowledge on the P cycle in the Mediterranean seawater in order to construct an holistic view of the biogeochemical cycle of P in the region.
